Equestrian Day Camps

Learn horsemanship and English riding from our experienced and enthusiastic equestrian staff and our twelve friendly horses. Our riding facility includes an outdoor riding ring, a 12-stall stable, several pastures, and numerous trails throughout our property.  Campers must wear long pants and boots with a heel when riding.  Camp Ketcha provides ASTM/SEI certified equestrian helmets.  We will use a combination of our horses and leased horses.

All campers must submit a signed Equine Release form prior to attending camp.

Campers must wear long pants and boots with a heel in all horsemanship programs. Camp Ketcha provides helmets. This program allows our more experienced riders to take their riding to the next level. These campers will be very active in caring for the horses as well as planning the Camp Horse Show. Riding skills will focus on topics such as showmanship, equitation and dressage.  Learning activities will include horse health and safety, discussion on diseases and preventative measures, conformation and performance, properly caring for tack and equipment and preparing a horse for a horse show.  Campers will also design their own individual riding patterns which they may demonstrate for family and friends at the camp horse show.  Participants will have opportunities to take leadership roles with younger campers visiting the barn, and Advanced Horsemanship campers will help others with less experience during the Camp Horse Show.  It may include a field trip to another equestrian facility in the area.  Includes swimming each day (weather dependent).
