Traditional Day Camp Age Groups

TENDERFEET

Ages 4-5 (must be 4 by first day enrolled)

$205* per week full time
$150 per week part time
(three days a week)

With a 1:5 staff-to-camper ratio, counselors work closely with campers to ensure that their unique needs are met while they explore our activities. This program is ideal for developing socialization skills. TenderFeet swim each day, with lessons twice a week for full-time campers and once a week for part-time campers.


 

WOODGATHERERS

Age 6

$205* per week
$164 for week 2 (no camp July 4)

 

With a 1:5 staff-to-camper ratio, WoodGatherers participate in all of our programs except high ropes elements. WoodGatherers swim each day with lessons twice a week.


 

TRAILSEEKERS

Ages 7-8

$200* per week
$160 for week 2 (no camp July 4)

 

TrailSeekers have many opportunities to challenge themselves. They experience all program areas each week in their groups with a 1:6 staff-to-camper ratio.

 

TrailSeekers may participate in such activities as hikes to the marsh or high ropes course challenges. They swim each day with lessons twice a week.


 

TRACKERS

Ages 9-11

$195 per week (Please note: 2008 Camp Brochure lists the incorrect price.)

$156 for week 2 (no camp July 4)

 

Trackers specialize in themed activities each week. Groups focus on, but are not limited to their selected Track theme. Each Track swims every day and has one elective period. Track availability is based upon enrollment. Swim lessons are NOT included. Trackers have a 1:8 staff-to-camper ratio.

 

Wilderness Track - Focused on outdoor living skills and environmental education, weeks may include fire building, orienteering, wild edible hikes, cooking, shelter building, plant, tree and animal identification, hiking, basic canoeing or archery.

 

Artisan Track - Campers express their creativity through making crafts, painting, sculpting clay, cooking, and writing the Tracker Newsletter.

 

Sports/Aquatic Track - Campers focus on playing sports, games and other physical activities. Weeks may include archery, baseball, soccer, ultimate frisbee, water balloon volleyball, basic canoeing and kayaking, golf, or frisbee golf.

 

Ropes/Adventure Challenge Track - Campers challenge themselves through group initiatives and trust activities on our high and low ropes course and learn belayed climbing and other skills.

 

General Track - Campers sample all of our program areas by participating in archery, arts & crafts, outdoor living skills, sports, and drama/music throughout the week.


 

VOYAGERS

Ages 12-13

$195 per week

$156 for week 2 (no camp July 4)

 

Voyagers are our oldest campers. Campers have the opportunity to help create their weekly schedule as well as choosing their groups. Activities may include field trips to the beach or local attractions. Voyagers swim each day. Voyagers have a 1:8 staff-to-camper ratio.

Please download the new registration form OR select the weeks you want to attend in the Tracker Day Camp column of the brochure and make a note below that your selection is for a Voyager.


 

Traditional Day Camp Activities

SWIMMING

Organized deep and shallow water activities and free swim improve aquatic skills and self confidence. Campers swim at least once a day (weather permitting) in our pool or the shallow or deep end of our pond.

 

ARCHERY

Basics of bow and arrow safety, care and function with lots of target practice.

 

OUTDOOR LIVING SKILLS

Survival skills from fire building and knot tying to map and compass or shelter building.


 

ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION

Hands-on lessons that may include tracking animals, plants and tree identification, weather, gardening, birds, insects and conservation.

 

SPORTS

Soccer, kickball, basketball, Frisbee, 4-square and lots more.

 

DIRIGO ROPES COURSE

High and low rope elements and initiatives challenge campers both individually and in teams.
